Day 01 Kathmandu Arrival & transfer to the hotel. Overnight at the hotel – BB basis. Day 02 Kathmandu (B) AM: Half day sightseeing to Kathmandu City Durbar Square & Swayambhunath. PM: Half day sightseeing to Patan. Overnight at the hotel – BB basis. Day 03 Kathmandu (B) AM: Half day sightseeing to Pashupatinath & Bouddhanath. PM: Free. Overnight at the hotel – BB basis. DAY 04: KATHMANDU – LHASA (B) Transfer to the Airport for flight to Lhasa. Lhasa Arrival, transfer to the hotel. Full DAY rest for acclimatization. Overnight in the hotel – BB basis. DAY 05: LHASA (B) Visit Potala palace - built in 7th century by Tibetan king Songtsen Gampo and later renovated by the 5th Dalai Lama in the 17th century. Afternoon visit Sera monastery 5 kilometers north of Lhasa City, it was built in 1419 by Jamchen Choejie. Sera is one of three major monasteries in Tibet. Overnight in hotel. DAY 06: LHASA (B) Sightseeing tour of Jokhang Temple - the holiest shrine in Tibet with a golden statue of the Shakyamuni Buddha, this was brought to Tibet by Chinese princess Wenchen. Drepung monastery & Barkhor Bazaar, which is the largest monastery in Lhasa, it was built in 1416 by Jamyang Choejie. Then visit Norbulingkha - the summer palace of the Dalai Lama which was built in 18th century. Overnight in the hotel – BB basis. DAY 07: LHASA – GYANTSE (B) AM to drive to Gyantse via Lake Yamdrok, visit of Kumbum Pekun monastery. Overnight in the hotel – BB basis. DAY 08: GYANTSE – SHIGATSE (B) Drive to Shigatse, visit of Tashi Lhunpo monastery. Overnight in the hotel – BB basis. DAY 09: SHIGATSE – LHATSE (B) Drive to Lhatse. Overnight in the hotel – BB basis. DAY 10: LHATSE – ZHANGMU (B) Drive to Zhangmu. Overnight in the hotel – BB basis. DAY 11: ZHANGMU – FRIENDSHIP BRIDGE – KATHMANDU (B) Cross the Friendship Bridge at Kodari Drive to Kathmandu. Day 12: Kathmandu Departure (B) Departure transfer to Airport for onward journey.
